Softness can also be determined by the overall feel of a material, with some people feeling a certain way about a fabric versus another fabric. It’s this combination of texture and softness that makes up the softness of clothing material. These are some of the different main properties of fabric that are found. Different materials will have varying amounts of density, weight, stretchability, and durability. Many other things can change the properties that material has, but those are the four main ones that can be used. Materials like fibers, laces, and threading all have different properties, which can be helpful for particular items.
